NFF Set To Sack Siasia Over Unpaid Salaries Outburst

The Nigeria Football Federation top brass are mulling over sacking U-23s head coach Samson Siasia, Completesportsnigeria.com can exclusively report.

A Completesportsnigeria.com source at the Glass House revealed that the country’s football governing body executives are miffed at Siasia for speaking with the press over the non-payment of salaries.

Peeved by Siasia’s outburst, which was celebrated by the media in midweek, the body is toying with the idea of restructuring the Super Eagles coaching crew, a decision that would see Salisu Yussuf deployed as U-23 Eagles head coach with Fatai Amao and Ogunbote as assistants.

Completesportsnigeria.com can also report Siasia has been ordered to respond to the query issued to him to explain why he should not be sanctioned.

According to our source, the NFF officials were irritated on the grounds that Siasia and other national team coaches were told why salaries were being delayed and that efforts are in top gear to ensure the salaries are paid soonest.

NFF’s cash flow has been hampered by the new rule which states that the country’s soccer governing body must run only one revenue account.

“Siasia is facing the sack except there is a divine intervention because the NFF is serious angry with him for going on air to spread the dirty linen in public,” the NFF source said.

“He is not the only coach we are owing. Amuneke and Salisu Abubakar too are still being owed and these people have not gone to the press to make such claims.

“We explained to them the cause of this problem and then appealed to the coaches to be patient only for Siasia to go to the press.”

See Gobe! Man jailed for sharing President Mugabe joke with Neighbour…

A 38-year-old Zimbabwean man named Titus Maposa has been jailed for forwarding a joke on Mugabe to all his neighbours. According to Manica Post newspaper, Maposa’s neighbours sent the text message to the police and he was arrested.

The offending joke was a message falsely attributed to Ecocash, Zimbabwe’s mobile money transfer scheme, which said the president had deposited $1 500 (R20 745) into their account.
The newspaper said the message read:
“Ecocash Transfer Confirmation: 1,500 US from Robert Gabriel Mugabe. Thank you for supporting ZANU-PF.”
Maposa was being charged under a section of Zimbabwe’s Postal and Telecommunications Act prohibiting the sending of messages the sender “knows to be false.”
The report said Maposa insisted he did not mean to make his neighbours “anxious or nervous”.
“I was intending to share a social media joke,” he said.
Although Maposa was not being prosecuted under Zimbabwe’s infamous anti-insult laws, it remains a crime to insult Mugabe, who has been in power since 1980. Arrests are frequently reported under these laws, often for comments made on social media site.

How to increase your se’xual energy with testicular massages

The testicles are two small oval-shaped organs that hang below the penis in a pouch of skin called the scrotum. From the age of puberty, the testicles produce sperm which can fertilize the female egg. The testicles are also responsible for producing the hormone testosterone.

Testicle massage improves the blood circulation to the testicles, which also boosts your production of testosterone. Massaging your testicles regularly will improve your erections, ejaculation volume, and sperm count. Testicle massage will even increase the size of your testicles so that they are lower hanging, fuller feeling, heavier, and more sensitive.

What You Don't Know About Suya...

SUYA AND REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER STOPPING ITS CONSUMPTION

Suya as it is being made and sold in many places should not be eaten because of the risks and dangers associated. I will try as much as possible to explain this in very simple and clear terms. This is to enable even a layman read and understand the message of this post. I promise not to mention terms such terms as benz[a]anthracene, Fasciola hepatica and Taenia saginata . In fact, forget I mentioned those three. All I just want you to know are the risks and dangers associated with eating just any Suya.

What is Suya?
If you are reading this, you probably know what Suya is. But by way of definition, Suya is a spicy skewered meat which is a popular food item in various parts of Nigeria and is enjoyed as a delicacy in many parts of West Africa. It is traditionally prepared by the Hausa people of northern Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, and some parts of Sudan.
Health and Safety Issues Associated With Suya Consumption
Forget the dirty environment and poor or zero hygiene conditions in which Suya is made and handled in many places in Nigeria, there are other dangers that are inherent in the consumption of Suya – those that many would never know unless they are Food professional or have come across an article like this that explains it.

1. Suya and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs)
You know when they say Cigarette kills? It is majorly due to the PAHs they contain. Many Suya sellers make their Suya by burning all sort of woods and charcoal to make their fire. Some even throw in such things as plastics to make their ember burn brighter in order to cook the Suya meat. Many of these materials burning under the meat contain these Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons — and do you know what these PAHs do in the body after enough consumption or exposure?

A. Some PAHs are chemical carcinogens (cancer-causing compounds) while seven PAH compounds have also been classified as probable human carcinogens.

B. Some PAH compounds are mutagens. Mutagen is a physical or chemical agent that changes the genetic material (DNA).

C. According to a finding, reported in an article on
health.usnews.com , high prenatal exposure to PAH is associated with lower IQ and childhood asthma.

2. Potential of contacting zoonotic diseases
A zoonotic disease is a disease that can be passed between animals and humans. Since Suya meats are generally undercooked and in rare occasions carrying some blood on them, there is a chance that one could contact zoonotic diseases from Suya.
Take for example, during the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak, we were warned to stay away from Monkey and Bat meats. There was also a stern warning to always cook our meats very well before we eat them. Cooking meat very well cannot really be said of Suya.
Other type of diseases that can be passed from animals to humans include, LEPTOSPIROSIS, BRUCELLOSIS, BUBONIC PLAGUE, SALMONELLOSIS, etc.
Some zoonotic diseases can be passed from the host animal to human directly while others can be passed from consuming their products such as meat and milk.

3. Beef Tapeworm ( Taenia saginata)
This is commonly known as the beef tapeworm – a zoonotic tapeworm. Like it was mentioned above, humans majorly get infected by consuming undercooked beef. The infection is may come without any noticeable symptoms but heavy infection can also occur with attendant symptoms. Heavy infection often results in weight loss, dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headaches, nausea, constipation, chronic indigestion, and loss of appetite. Heavy infections may cause intestinal obstruction in humans — this can be alleviated by surgery.
Suya can be very delicious and make a good delicacy if well cooked and appropriate types of woods are used for smoking.
For example, it is advised to cook/heat the Suya meat to a safe internal temperature around 80 degrees Celcius or more. Avoid adding plastics or fuels such as kerosene to the fire to make it burn better.

Finally, let me say that eating moderate amounts of smoked meat (Suya) without charring to a safe, yet medium temperature should not not pose a problem.

Love In The Air... DON JAZZY GETTING MARRIED???

Earlier this year Don Baba Jay tweeted a photo it looked like a joke until now.

Looks like sexy TV girl, Peace Hyde, has said yes to be Don Jazzy’s girl openly. No marriage yet as both parties are not rushing things.

STRIKE CALLED OFF IN OSUN STATE UNIVERSITIES...

Academic Staff Unions in tertiary institutions owned by the Osun state government have finally called off their industrial strike that have lasted for months now.

The strike was called off on the back of a meeting the body had with the government where it was resolved that current financial issue from the not-so-strong federal revenue account has affected the payment of their salaries.

The union signed an agreement with the state’s government and stated that they did that following the dropping of all charges against the union by the Osun state government.

Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, who is the Chief-of-staff to Governor Rauf Aregbesola after putting pen to paper on behalf of the state government.

According to Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola: “We have been having cordial relationship over the years, before now. Salaries were regular, even for the first time in the history of public service in Nigeria, Aregbesola’s government has been paying workers 13th month salary.

“Sometime you plan and things do not work out the way you planned them. Revenue has reduced by more than fifty percent after the decline of oil revenue. We have to look inward at this time of our state and nation.”

“We have signed an agreement and we will make sure that it works. Let us all commend the magnanimity of the governor that all arrears will be paid. We must also show understanding at all times to operate with government with utmost trust. This administration has nothing to hide from anybody.

“I am glad we have been able to resolve, and we need to learn one or two lessons from this, we must learn to trust government and look inward to start developing our revenue. The support of all is needed to move the state forward.” he concluded.

"I HAVE A DREAM"..Prophet Makes Revelations About End Of Boko Haram

Prophet Ignis Iribhogbe, an apostle of Jesus Christ and a social commentator says he had a dream that the ongoing insurgency by Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, will come to an end and will surprisingly usher in an era of peace, tranquility and progress for all parts of the present contraption called ‘Nigeria’.

Read his post below;

I have a dream that a “Nigerian Goberchev” will arise and break the fraudulent/imposed geographical contraption into 5 (five) viable countries as follows:

1. Biafra (present Southeast zone) comprising the core Ndigbo

2. O’odua (present Southwest plus Yoruba speaking areas of Kwara and Kogi)

3. Niger Delta (present South South)

4. Federation of Central Nigeria (present Plateau, Benue, some parts of Nasarawa, and Southern Kaduna),

5. Islamic Caliphate of Nigeria (the remaining parts of present Northern Nigeria).

Thenceforth, there will be no more religious riots nor senseless bloodshed of the present type typified by Boko Haram. Rather, the present northern elders will coalesce into the ruling oligarchy of the caliphate and their topmost emirs will be called Ayatollahs.

Meanwhile, the present contraption will metamorphose into an economic subregion rivalling ECOWAS, and with healthy economic rivalry between the emerging component nations.

I have a dream.

Meanwhile, an Abuja-based prophet Victor Ajibishe has said that Boko Haram will strike the Federal Capital Territory again.

Prophet Victor Ajibishe predicted that there will be more Boko Haram bombings in the nation’s capital. He made the prophesy during a service on Sunday, October 4.

WHY I DONT HAVE A MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE... Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, former vice president, has disclosed why he is not having a ministerial nominee in President Muhammadu Buhari’s list.

Atiku stated that Nigerian leader has made right choices with the ministers, showing optimism that they will put the country above any parochial interest.

APC chieftain spoke through the chairman, Atiku Loyalists Group, Alhaji Muhammadu Sugar.

Sugar said that former VP was not happy with the list of ministers, noted that he was happy with the list.

He further added that the calibre of people who made the list have given Atiku hope that the country was on the right path.

Also debunking media reports that Atiku was among the big losers on the Buhari’s cabinet, for not having a minister, Alhaji Sugar underlined that in the first place, ex-vice never looked for any of his loyalists to be on the list.

Sugar said that the minister-appointee from his Adamawa home town, Musa Muhammad, is just like a son to Atiku.

Meanwhile, he noted that presently, Nigeria needed the joint contributions of the teeming masses of the country, if the real change Nigerians were yearning for would be possible.

The populace must be ready to rally round President Buhari to effect the change, Sugar concluded.

The Nigerian senate has resumed the screening or Buhari’s ministerial nominees today, October 27.

Screening of the nominees comes in this order: Isaac Folorunso, Bawa Bwari, Geoffrey Onyeama, Zainab Ahmed, Dan Ali, Usani Uguru.

Reports appeared last week that some leaders of the APC are flirting with the idea of floating a party to register their anger to the party management in preparation ahead of 2019 presidential election.

STEP INTO THE ADMIN BLOCK OR SENATE BUILDING AND DIE!!!

DON’T step into the Admin Block 1 of the Lagos State University (LASU) or the Senate Building if you don’t want to die!

That is the message that those who laced the place with charms sought to deliver with their frightening deed. Since then fear has pervaded the 32-year-old institution in the past six months.

The Admin Block 1, which houses the office of the Vice Chancellor, Prof John Obafunwa, other principal officers and registry staff has been deserted for over six months over alleged juju scare. This is the second time under his administration that juju was reportedly placed on the Admin Block and Senate Building.

On a good day, the Admin Block 1 was the busiest office on the campus and has the highest human traffic, mainly staff, students and visitors entering and coming out. It is a one storey building located near the Badagry Expressway gate of the university.

The Senate Building, which faces both the Admin Block 1 and 2, has also been abandoned in the past six months for the same reason forcing meetings of the Senate to be held at the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM).

In the last six months, the Admin Block 1 and the Senate Building have been made to look like a ghost town because of desertion by the Vice Chancellor, Prof John Obafunwa, principal officers and other staff over fear of being harmed by fetishes left in the area.

The trouble started on Monday, March 16, 2015, when the staff unions chased out the VC, his two deputies, the Registrar and other senior management staff out of the campus.

Less than 24 hours after the protest, the university workers asked the former Governor, Babatunde Fashola, to appoint an acting VC, adding that they have ‘sacked’ the vice chancellor. The staff unions also demanded for a Visitation Panel.

The next day after the protest, congress of the three staff unions at their different meetings banned Prof. Obafunwa from entering the campus, accusing him of maladministration and several other offences. Loyalists of the VC fought back and condemned the action of their colleagues, insisting that Obafunwa should be allowed into the university to carry out his duties.

After the ugly incident, the Admin Block 1 and the Senate were locked and since then no staff including the principal officers and even the campus security personnel had gone near the building.

The 32-year-old institution may have made history as the first tertiary institution whose VC has not set foot on campus for over six months because of the prolonged face-off with the workers who have vowed not to allow him into the university.

Fear of what happened to other workers, who some years back tried to force open the Admin and Senate blocks, also made security personnel and those loyal to the embattled VC not to open the two iron gates. Rumours about staff who were struck by strange illness when they tried to enter the buildings previously has made the place a no-go area.

For days, some staff were placed on ‘special duty’ by the unions to monitor the locked Admin and Senate blocks even as the workers gathered under a tree to continue with their celebration over the banishment of the VC and other top management from the campus.

Investigation reveals that several attempts were made by the immediate past governor to smuggle the embattled VC into the campus but the main problem was that nobody wanted to go near the Admin Block 1 and the Senate Building because of fear of the juju.

Even the NANS and LASU students union that demanded for the VC’s return to the main campus were not bold enough to go near the dreaded spots. They restricted their protest around the two gates.

When our correspondent visited the campus, it was evident that the Admin Block and Senate Building has not been used for several months, as the surroundings were overgrown with weeds. It was gathered that members of staff of the university also avoid the place for fear of bad omen.

Further enquires revealed that registry staffs, whose offices were located in the Admin Block 1 and the Senate Building have been temporary relocated to other offices. The VC, Prof Obafunwa, has been using his personal office at LASUCOM, while Senate meetings were held at one of the halls in LASUCOM.

Efforts by our correspondent to find out who laced the Admin Block and Senate Building with juju proved abortive as the Director, Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations (CIPPR), Mrs. Ronke Osho was said to have started her retirement leave from the services of the Lagos State government.

The chairmen of ASUU, SSANU and NASU claimed ignorance of the juju. But some union members dared the students, state government and Obafunwa’s loyalists to open the gates.

“The unions will not stop them from going to open the Admin Block 1 and the Senate Building, but they know the consequences,” a staff who wishes to remain anonymous, explained. “Those who tried it some years ago know what happened.

Even the VC and his loyalists know the implications of going to open the gates by force.’
It was gathered that before the gates of the Admin Block 1 and Senate Building would be opened for use, certain rituals would need to be performed in the night.

The new Pro Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Prof. Adebayo Ninalowo told Education Review that he and his members are working hard to restore peace on campus. He said they met the staff unions and students unions recently.

Obafunwa’s tenure would end on October 31 and staff unions have already started a countdown for him with two big banners placed at the two gates of the university. announcing how many days are left of his administration.

Nyesome Wike's Appeal Dismissed By Supreme Court

Nigeria’s apex court, the Supreme Court, has dismissed the appeal of the Rivers state governor, Nyesome Wike, today, October 27.

The appellant had objected that the court lacked merit to relocate the case to Abuja. But in its ruling, the supreme court upheld the right of the court to relocate the case to a tribunal sitting in Abuja following the absence of a chief judge at that time.

The court said the case was relocated by the president of the law court to Abuja basically due to security issues prevailing in Rivers state.

This the court said was to safeguard the lives of the chairman of the INEC and others involved in the case.

It said therefore that the tribunal was rightly constituted. It also added that the president of the court of appeal had a duty to ensure the safety of the court of tribunal by directing them to sit in Abuja to enable the tribunal to discharge its duty.

All five judges of the supreme court agreed with the judgement.

A tribunal in Abuja had on Saturday, October 2 ruled that the election in Rivers state that saw Wike elected as the state’s governor be cancelled and re-run

Following the tribunal ruling Wike stated that he remained in charge of Rivers state, and he also vowed to appeal the court’s ruling.

Pastor Kumuyi Commends President Buhari

Pastor Williams Kumuyi has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the fight his administration has launched against corruption in the country.

The general superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry characterized Buhari’s move as a step in the right direction when he spoke with journalists in Abia state on Sunday, October 25, Vanguard reports. The cleric also called for the support of the Nigerian leader noting that with the backing of the citizens, the funds embezzlement would soon be eliminated.

Pastor Williams Kumuyi
“I am a layman when it comes to politics. But from what we can see, I believe that the president is in the right direction and if we support him with our comments and in other ways, I believe that we will see corruption brought down very quickly.”

Regarding the role of the church in the anti-graft war, Kumuyi said:

“When we say the church, we are not just talking about buildings; we are talking of people who come to church and also go to offices. For the church to support the fight against corruption, preachers must teach our people to learn how to contribute positively to the progress of the country wherever they are. If you are a governor, commissioner, teacher, minister and among others; do your best for the country. Don’t think of what you can get out of the place that you are working, but how they can contribute to the place in order to support the efforts of the government.”

Addressing the politicians, he recommended them to follow their promises and remember they are servants of the Nigerians who elected them.

In a recent development some Nigerian clerics announced their plan to hold a national prayer for President Buhari and the incoming ministers. The prayer would aim at seeking God’s favour for the acting administration and its fight against

BLATTER DECLARES SUPPORT FOR ORJI UZOR KALU FOR FIFA PRESIDENCY

Suspended FIFA president Sepp Joseph Blatter has openly declared
his support for former Abia state Governor Dr Orji Uzor Kalu to occupy
the exalted position of FIFA President, even as he has faulted the
candidature of former Secretary General Jerome Champagne and
Prince Alli of Jordan.
Speaking in Zurich, Blatter said ” The position of the FIFA president is
too important to be left to just anybody. I have heard of some
candidates who want to take over from me. But I find the
Businessman from Nigeria Kalu very qualified and interesting because
he is not only a businessman, but a politician with lots of contacts
and corporate experience. He can bring his great experiences to bear
in the running of world football.
He is passionate about the game. I remember how he sponsored one
of Nigerian clubs to win the CAF championship twice. He is a man
that can take world football to the next level”, Blatter told the Swiss
Radio monitored on Sunday.
Blatter said though Kalu had not formally declared his interest, it was
in the best interest of Africa to nominate him because of his deep
passion for the game. “If Africa hopes to win the support of other
federations, then they must queue behind the Nigerian business man.
Football has developed beyond just anybody taking over.
I sacked Jerome Champgne in 2010 so how can he come back to lead
an Association he tried to destroy. You need a man who can
command respect and win friends for football.
With Kalu Africa stands a better chance, he concluded. CAF is
expected to meet next week to decide on a candidate for the election
scheduled for next year. Orji Kalu and Segun Odegbami are the two
candidates vying for the post from Africa.

Wike says "I am Still The Governor of Rivers State"

A furious Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State yesterday launched tirades on the judiciary moments after the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sacked Wike  as Rivers State governor.

The tribunal had said the election that brought the governor to power was characterised by malpractices and not held in substantial compliance with the electoral laws.

PDP immediately declared that   the judgment cannot stand while Wike branded it a gang-up against the people of Rivers State.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP , Chief Olisa Metuh, slammed  the verdict as “completely bizarre and unacceptable,” and said it was part of the script by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to manipulate the will of the people.

His party, he claimed, had been hinted  several months ago about  “this spurious judgment,”  and that it accordingly  alerted the nation and the international community to the plot by the APC government to use the judiciary and various security agencies to reverse the victory of the PDP in Rivers, Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Taraba and Abia states.

“We invite Nigerians and the international community to recall various reprehensible steps taken by the APC government that culminated in this ruling as well as the ridiculous Wednesday’s verdict of the Akwa-Ibom state governorship election tribunal, also sitting in Abuja”, the PDP said.

The party listed what it described as the curious and controversial relocation of the election tribunals from their states to Abuja without any justification; the constant juggling of judicial officers and members of governorship election tribunals in PDP controlled states, especially, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom.

It also alleged constant harassment of judicial and electoral officers involved in the governorship election cases in these state, using agencies of government, particularly, the Directorate of State Services (DSS) under the direct command of a known APC member, Alhaji Lawal Daura.

The PDP similarly alleged constant threats, intimidation and coercing of witnesses against the party in the tribunals.

He added: “the recent mass transfer of security operatives, especially the DSS and police personnel that actually participated in the conduct of the elections in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom, ostensibly to frustrate the course of genuine evidences in the process. “The bias in the judgment against the PDP in Rivers as well as Akwa-Ibom is evidenced in the contradictions inherent in the trial process of the two cases and the verdicts therein, whereby the tribunals clearly disregarded standing legal norm that a petitioner must establish prove of claims.

“Also curious is the fact that after both the petitioner and respondent agreed before the tribunal that both card reader and manual accreditations were used for the election, the tribunal still went ahead to base its decision on issues of card reader.

“While it is convenient for them to use legal technicalities to deny PDP victory in Imo, Lagos, Ogun and Yobe states, the same rules are misapplied to wickedly favour APC petitioners in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states.

“It is therefore evinced that these contradictions are direct fall-out of compromises as well as boasts by the APC of being in direct and remote control of the tribunals.

“If not, how can one explain the fact that while governorship elections are being upturned in PDP states, in APC states, where similar claims and facts are in contention, elections are being upheld.

“Further proof of bias by the Rivers tribunal is the fact that less than 24 hours after various counsels submitted nine written addresses and documents, the tribunal rushed its notice of judgment, an action ostensibly aimed at ambushing the pending Supreme Court action on the issue of jurisdiction regarding the relocation of the tribunal outside River state, which was due to be delivered on Tuesday.

“This is not withstanding the fact that the tribunal has up to seven days after receipt of addresses, to deliver its judgment, but chose instead, to rush to deliver this spurious verdict even on a Saturday, a development eliciting suspicion that the judgment may have since been predetermined and written even before the commencement of the case.

“The PDP calls on all Nigerians and the international community to note this growing manipulation of the judiciary by the APC government, a factor which portends great danger to our democracy and the stability of our country.

“Nigerians would want to recall that under the PDP-led government with former President Goodluck Jonathan’s commitment to the tenets of democracy as encapsulated in the safeguard of ‘one man one vote’ and the independence of the judiciary, the PDP conceded electoral defeat in Edo, Anambra, and Imo states without attempting to collect victory through executive manipulation of the judicial process.

“The PDP restates unequivocally that this judgments must not stand in view of the prevailing inherent contradictions, in addition to the huge threat they portend to our democracy and national stability.

“Finally, the PDP charges all lovers of democracy, particularly our members in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom state not to be daunted, as these judgments will not stand the test of the law and the will of the people.

“We therefore reassure that the PDP will do all within the ambit of the law to resist this criminal attempt by the APC to steal and thwart the will of the people”.

On his part, Wike told his supporters in Port Harcourt last night that the verdict was nothing short of a gang up against  Rivers people.

Wike said: “I am still the governor of Rivers State. Our lawyers are going on appeal. We are all going on appeal. There is also the Supreme Court.

“They can say anything, but Rivers people’s interest must be protected. Nobody will intimidate me to abandon this state. If they like, let them summon the justices as they have been doing. But one day, God’s own pronouncement will come.”

Wike’s pronouncement drew an immediate response from the APC in the state, with the party’s Chris Finebone accusing him of blackmail.

He was shocked that the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State “has come out to condemn and cast aspersions on the character of the panel of jurists.

“The APC believes that such irrational utterances on the part of the PDP are as a result of the shock, frustration and disappointment that the panel of judges of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal made themselves unreachable to be compromised by the PDP and Governor Nyesom Wike and demonstrated that despite the malfeasance of a few, the Nigerian judiciary is still made up men of impeccable character who cherish their good name, character and hallowed profession.

“The APC is only worried that Nyesom Wike as at yesterday had made uniforms for his followers in preparation to celebrate the ruling of the Supreme Court over PDP matter on the jurisdiction of the election petition tribunal.

“As a result of this, many questions come to mind one of which is: “Does Nyesom Wike already know the decision of the Supreme Court on his appeal on locational jurisdiction?”

“For us in the APC we will continue to believe and trust in the transparency and forthrightness of the members of the Nigerian judiciary as has been exemplified on occasions without number including over the ruling on the Rivers State matter today.

“We believe that the antics and machinations of a few persons such as Nyesom Wike are not enough to tarnish the impeccable records of our distinguished men and women of the bench in Nigeria.

“To us in the APC, the innuendo, allusion and expressions on the judiciary by Nyesom Wike and the PDP are mere red herring meant to blackmail members at the very apex of the judiciary having woefully failed to monetarily compromise them.

“This evil motive by Nyesom Wike and the PDP to blackmail and impugn the hard-earned integrity of the justices of the Supreme Court will surely fail.”

Wike Urges Supporters To Keep Calm

Wike is said to have alleged that the Election Petition Tribunals were directed to nullify the election of all South-South states governors. According to him, a total of N23billion was paid to the tribunal judges by the APC to pass the order that the election did not comply substantially with election guidelines and order INEC to conduct fresh elections within 90 days.

Governor Wike then asked a strong question:

“How can a party win all Senate seats, all House of Reps seats, all State Assembly seats, 97% votes in the presidential election and they could tell the public that the party did not win the governorship?”

But according to local and international observers, all the elections he mentioned were heavily rigged.

Wike has however called on his supporters to keep calm, saying he will appeal the Tribunal’s verdict.

His party, the PDP has also declared that the verdict of the River state governorship election tribunal showed clear bias against Governor Wike and the PDP. They say it is unacceptable and part of an alleged script by the APC to manipulate the will of the people

More torrential rain falls on top of overflowing waters in Texas

The math is simple, but the potential weather consequences are daunting.

Up to 20 inches of rain have fallen over parts of Texas over the last few days, breaking some local rain records. In southeast Texas, another 6 to 12 inches were on their way overnight -- even more in isolated spots.

Rain should continue through part of the week.

Add coastal high winds that are driving in high waters on Sunday, and it all equals flood warnings of almost every type from the National Weather Service from Corpus Christi up the Gulf Coast to Morgan City, Louisiana:

-- Rivers and creeks were predicted to overflow in Corpus Christi, in Waco and near San Antonio, Texas, and in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

-- Flash flooding in Houston led to 50 confirmed high water locations, emergency management spokesman Michael Walter said. All exits to downtown on I-45 were closed.

-- Coastal flooding was predicted to push inland from Beaumont east throughout much of the Louisiana coast.

Galveston County is predicted to become inundated on two fronts -- up to a foot of rain is in the forecast, and at the same time tides pushed by howling winds are projected to rise up to five feet above normal. Residents of Bolivar Peninsula are advised to evacuate, an official said.

Wayward streams
In and around Houston, high water led to nearly a dozen road closings late Saturday, CNN affiliate KTRK reported.

When rushing water meets cars and people, danger often results. It only takes 12 inches of flowing water to sweep away a small car, the weather service has warned.

"Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway," it said.

Earlier in the day, flooding washed away cars, and derailed a freight train. Rescuers pulled motorists out of cars stuck in high water.

Train derails in Texas flood
One person disappeared in San Antonio, a homeless man who tried to rescue his dog from a drainage ditch. He was swept away in pre-dawn hours, a fire official said.

The dog was later found safe. The man hasn't been.

Records broken
San Antonio broke its all-time single-day rain record Saturday, as did Camp Mabry, a military installation in Austin.

Dallas was in the thick of it Saturday, getting about eight inches of rain in 24 hours. As the Trinity River approached flood stage, a flood gate on nearby White Rock Lake opened to release water and keep it from overflowing.

50 pounds of pot mailed to wrong address

Hazlet Township Police announced Thursday morning that — thanks to a wary homeowner — officers had intercepted a 50-pound shipment of professionally-packed marijuana on Tuesday.
"If you were expecting these packages and would like to claim them, please come to Police Headquarters,"

A Hazlet resident called police on Tuesday after receiving boxes of marijuana. The packages of marijuana were addressed to a person who did not live at the home, according to Hazlet Detective Lt. Ted Wittke.
"Whoever packaged these definitely took quite a bit of time and energy to mask anything that was detectable," Wittke said.

BREAKING: Buhari Has Ordered Prince Audu To Remove His Photo From His Campaign Materials In Kogi

“His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari has therefore ordered the removal of his pictures from the campaign materials of Prince Audu Abubakar and has directed the Director General Prince Audu Abubakar Campaign Organization to comply with this directive effective immediately,” the statement signed by presidential media aide Femi Adesina, said.

The president had backed out of the National campaign committee of Prince Abubakar Audu at a recent meeting with the APC stakeholders, owing to the integrity of the candidate and his unconvinced answer to the allegation of the embezzlement of N11 billion by the EFCC.

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, who was said to have been made head of the National Campaign Committee for the coming Kogi governorship election for APC, reportedly opted out at the last minute of the inauguration of the committee in Abuja, apparently due to similar reasons. The APC Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, had since appointed Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State as the chairman of the campaign committee in place of Osinbajo.

Graphic images which show young Muslim boys beating themselves with sharp blades as part of the holy Day of Ashura have emerged on the internet.

Every year, Shittes all over the world take part in these bloody self-flagellation ceremonies to mark the tenth day of the Islamic calendar and to mourn the death of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Imam Husayn, at the Battle of Karbala.

Sunni Muslims celebrate it the date – which they refer to as the Day of Atonement – as the day
Israelites were freed from the Pharaoh of Egypt. Some Muslims commemorate the day by carrying out brutal acts of self-flagellation, others slap their chests and chant, and some take part in ‘street plays’.

Many people also choose to make a pilgrimage to the Mashhad al-Husyn in Iraq, which is thought to be the resting place of Imam Husayn.
These photographs show young boys parading down the streets of Iraq’s capital Baghdad with blood dripping from their wounded heads and onto their white robes. They are flanked by their mothers dressed entirely in black.
