9ways You Could Make Condom Useless While You Wearing It.

While only abstinence can give you 100% protection from STDs and STIs, proper use of the condom can give you as much as 98% and keep you safe. But, if you do any or all of the things listed below, you only wasted your time!
Using a condom is one of the best ways to have sex safely – with up to 98% efficiency.
Not only do they help prevent pregnancies, they protect from s exually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and s exually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
condom use is now a norm.

However, the truth however is that co ndom is only useful and effective if it is properly used.
This means a person may get 0% protection even though they used a condom – they simply did not use it right.

Therefore, if you do any or all of the things listed below, you only wasted your time:

9. You store the condom in your pockets/wallet. Where you keep a condom matters. In your wallet or pocket, it can get compromised because of the regular friction and warm temperature.

1. You used it beyond expiry date. Like every other thing, co ndoms have expiry date and they offer little or no protection after that.

2. You use your teeth/sharp object to open the wrapper.Your teeth can cause a tear in the co ndom. The packet should be opened with your bare fingers.

3. You wear it after genital contact. The best thing to do is to wear your co ndom before any genital contact to protect you from other fluids like pre-c um (men) and va gina fluids.

4. You wear it too tight on your pen is. When you wear a co ndom, leave a small space for ejac ulation and sp erm collection at the tip. This will prevent leakage and rupture of the co ndom when you ejaculate..

5. You wear the wrong size. The wrong size means the co ndom is either too small or too big. Neither is good because the co ndom can tear, leak sp erm, or fall off inside the va gina.

6. You touch the condom with sperm. If you touch the co ndom with a hand that you have previously used to touch sperm, you have compromised it. So remove it and wear another.

7. You do not roll up the condom totally. The condom should cover up your penis to the base, near your scrotum. So roll it up totally, until you reach the ring.

8. You use reuse a used condom. Once a condom is taken off, after ejaculation or after an initial attempt to wear it, take it off, and get another one. Never reuse a condom.

While only abstinence can give you 100% protection from STDs and STIs, proper use of the condom can give you as much as 98% and keep you safe.

So ensure that you are as conscious about how you use it as you are about actually using it.
Abstinence is the best, but incase you need to, USE CONDOMS....

FACTS ABOUT FEMALE ORGASM AND CLIMAX

The female orgasm continues to be the subject of intense scientific debate. Doctors puzzle over the different means by which women can achieve orgasm, and the things that can prevent orgasm in women.

When women do achieve orgasm, "There are changes throughout the whole body, a head-to-toe kind of experience," says Sandra Leiblum, PhD, a sex therapist and director of psychological services at the New Jersey Center for Sexual Wellness in Bedminster.

How Women Achieve Orgasm

Women achieve orgasm through a four-step process first described by sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson decades ago:

  • Excitement. The woman initiates or agrees to sex, and as it commences she finds herself focusing mainly on sexual stimuli. Blood begins to engorge the clitoris, vagina, and nipples, and creates a full body sexual blush. Heart rate and blood pressure increases.
  • Plateau. Sexual tension builds as a precursor to orgasm. The outer one-third of the vagina becomes particularly engorged with blood, creating what researchers refer to as "the orgasmic platform." Focus on sexual stimuli drowns out all other sensations. Heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration continue to increase.
  • Orgasm. A series of rhythmic contractions occur in the uterus, vagina, and pelvic floor muscles. The sexual tension caused by lovemaking releases, and muscles throughout the body may contract. A feeling of warmth usually emanates from the pelvis and spreads throughout the entire body.
  • Resolution. The body relaxes, with blood flowing away from the engorged sexual organs. Heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration return to normal.

Stimulation and the Female Orgasm

Women are blessed with bodies that are capable of achieving orgasm in more ways than one.

Clitoral stimulation has been proven the surest route to orgasm. "I think that clitoral stimulation is probably the closest analog to male orgasm, where you get erectile tissue, there is release, and after release it is uncomfortable to continue," says Steven R. Goldstein, MD, an obstetrician and gynecologist at the New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City and professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine.

However, some women also can achieve orgasm through vaginal stimulation. One group of researchers credit the G-spot, a place located on the front wall of the vagina an inch or two behind the back of the pubic bone. These researchers believe that when stimulated, the G-spot causes intense sexual pleasure in some women. There is, however, not universal agreement among sex researchers as to the existence of this spot in all women.

Women also have been able to achieve orgasm through stimulation of the breasts or other parts of the body, or through the use of sexual imagery without any touch at all. Researchers have even found a nerve pathway outside of the spinal cord, through the sensory vagus nerve, that will lead a woman to orgasm through sensations transmitted directly to the brain.

"There are many nerve pathways that generate orgasm in women," says Beverly Whipple, PhD, RN, professor emerita at Rutgers University in Newark, N.J., and secretary general of the World Association for Sexual Health.

The Female Orgasm: Problems Getting There

There are physical problems that can keep a woman from achieving orgasm, but sex researchers say many of the things that block orgasm involve a woman's psyche. A woman may not be able to let go and focus completely on sexual stimuli because she is experiencing feelings of fear, guilt, distraction, anxiety, or a loss of control, Leiblum says. It is estimated that as many as a quarter of American women have problems achieving orgasm.

Doctors and sex therapists use several types of therapies to help women overcome these blocks to orgasm. Directed masturbation, sex education, and behavioral therapy are some of the means a woman might want to investigate if she cannot reach orgasm. Women might also want to try using a vibrator to provide increased clitoral stimulation, or a dildo crafted to provide better stimulation of the G-spot.

How to increase your se’xual energy with testicular massages

The testicles are two small oval-shaped organs that hang below the penis in a pouch of skin called the scrotum. From the age of puberty, the testicles produce sperm which can fertilize the female egg. The testicles are also responsible for producing the hormone testosterone.

Testicle massage improves the blood circulation to the testicles, which also boosts your production of testosterone. Massaging your testicles regularly will improve your erections, ejaculation volume, and sperm count. Testicle massage will even increase the size of your testicles so that they are lower hanging, fuller feeling, heavier, and more sensitive.

Picture (A) – Using both hands to massage right testicle

Picture (B) – Using both hands to massage left testicle.

Picture (C) – Rolling both testicles around between thumb and index fingers of both hands.

(1) Stand in Horse, or sit on the edge of a hard stool or chair, without pants.

(2) Rub your palms together till warm, then place the tips of all four fingers underneath the testicles, with thumbs on top, and massage the testicles firmly by rolling them around between fingertips and thumbs.

(3) Pressure should be firm but not painful.

(4) Roll the testicles thirty-six times in each direction, then relax and draw energy upwards with abdominal breathing performed in conjunction with anal lock and visualization.

What You Don't Know About Suya...

SUYA AND REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER STOPPING ITS CONSUMPTION

Suya as it is being made and sold in many places should not be eaten because of the risks and dangers associated. I will try as much as possible to explain this in very simple and clear terms. This is to enable even a layman read and understand the message of this post. I promise not to mention terms such terms as benz[a]anthracene, Fasciola hepatica and Taenia saginata . In fact, forget I mentioned those three. All I just want you to know are the risks and dangers associated with eating just any Suya.

What is Suya?
If you are reading this, you probably know what Suya is. But by way of definition, Suya is a spicy skewered meat which is a popular food item in various parts of Nigeria and is enjoyed as a delicacy in many parts of West Africa. It is traditionally prepared by the Hausa people of northern Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, and some parts of Sudan.
Health and Safety Issues Associated With Suya Consumption
Forget the dirty environment and poor or zero hygiene conditions in which Suya is made and handled in many places in Nigeria, there are other dangers that are inherent in the consumption of Suya – those that many would never know unless they are Food professional or have come across an article like this that explains it.

1. Suya and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs)
You know when they say Cigarette kills? It is majorly due to the PAHs they contain. Many Suya sellers make their Suya by burning all sort of woods and charcoal to make their fire. Some even throw in such things as plastics to make their ember burn brighter in order to cook the Suya meat. Many of these materials burning under the meat contain these Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons — and do you know what these PAHs do in the body after enough consumption or exposure?

A. Some PAHs are chemical carcinogens (cancer-causing compounds) while seven PAH compounds have also been classified as probable human carcinogens.

B. Some PAH compounds are mutagens. Mutagen is a physical or chemical agent that changes the genetic material (DNA).

C. According to a finding, reported in an article on
health.usnews.com , high prenatal exposure to PAH is associated with lower IQ and childhood asthma.

2. Potential of contacting zoonotic diseases
A zoonotic disease is a disease that can be passed between animals and humans. Since Suya meats are generally undercooked and in rare occasions carrying some blood on them, there is a chance that one could contact zoonotic diseases from Suya.
Take for example, during the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak, we were warned to stay away from Monkey and Bat meats. There was also a stern warning to always cook our meats very well before we eat them. Cooking meat very well cannot really be said of Suya.
Other type of diseases that can be passed from animals to humans include, LEPTOSPIROSIS, BRUCELLOSIS, BUBONIC PLAGUE, SALMONELLOSIS, etc.
Some zoonotic diseases can be passed from the host animal to human directly while others can be passed from consuming their products such as meat and milk.

3. Beef Tapeworm ( Taenia saginata)
This is commonly known as the beef tapeworm – a zoonotic tapeworm. Like it was mentioned above, humans majorly get infected by consuming undercooked beef. The infection is may come without any noticeable symptoms but heavy infection can also occur with attendant symptoms. Heavy infection often results in weight loss, dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headaches, nausea, constipation, chronic indigestion, and loss of appetite. Heavy infections may cause intestinal obstruction in humans — this can be alleviated by surgery.
Suya can be very delicious and make a good delicacy if well cooked and appropriate types of woods are used for smoking.
For example, it is advised to cook/heat the Suya meat to a safe internal temperature around 80 degrees Celcius or more. Avoid adding plastics or fuels such as kerosene to the fire to make it burn better.

Finally, let me say that eating moderate amounts of smoked meat (Suya) without charring to a safe, yet medium temperature should not not pose a problem.

No C0nd0ms! Here are 14 other Ways You Can Prevent HIV Infection [Must Read]

As HIV becomes a growing threat around the world, people want access to information that can help them to avoid this potentially deadly disease.

Medical experts have indicated that condoms can be a good way to prevent an HIV infection, but there are other steps you can take to reduce your chances of contracting HIV.

1. Abstain

The most effective way to not contract HIV is to not have s’ex with anyone until you are prepared to get married. When the time comes, you and your significant other can get the tests done to determine your HIV status, and then make the informed decision that will affect the rest of your lives.

2. Be selective on your s’exual partners

When you find someone who you have strong feelings for, it is important to have an open discussion about HIV prior to having s’ex. If you are extremely selective about the partners you choose, then you can significantly reduce your chances of contracting HIV.

3. Consider monogamy

One of the surest ways to prevent HIV if you want to remain s’exually active is to be monogamous with someone who is not HIV positive.

4. Use only sterile medical equipment

Whether you are giving yourself a shot of medication at home or getting an injection from a medical facility, always insist on making sure that the needle is sterile. Avoid previously used needles when you are injecting medication, or when you are getting medical treatment.

5. Insist on tested blood

If you ever need a blood transfusion, then insist on only using blood that has been tested for the HIV and AIDS viruses.
6. Get yourself tested

If you get yourself into the habit of being tested for HIV a couple of times a year, then it becomes easier to insist that your s’exual partners do the same. If you do decide to have s’ex with multiple partners throughout the year, then you should insist that they take the same steps you do in getting tested for HIV and having those results with them to show you. It seems extreme, but it is much better than the alternative.

7. Get treated for HIV immediately

If you had s’ex with someone and start to feel flu-like symptoms soon afterwards, then get tested immediately. The newer HIV medications being used can actually help to stop the infection if it is caught soon enough. The sooner you get tested, the better your chances of stopping the infection.

8. Get treated for any STD immediately

While getting tested for HIV, it may come to light that you have contracted a different STD from one of your partners. The presence of any STD in your system can significantly increase your chances of contracting HIV. You should get treated for any STD the moment it is discovered to lower your chances of getting HIV.
9. Talk to your doctor

The advancements in HIV treatment research have helped to create such preemptive treatments as PrEP. Talk to your doctor about PrEP and see if you may qualify for this HIV prevention treatment.

10. Don’t assume certain types of s’ex are safer than others

The HIV virus can be transmitted during any type of s’exual activity that involves the exchange of bodily fluids. Do not assume that one type of s’ex is safer than any other when it comes to preventing HIV.

11. Get your tattoos from a professional

If you get tattoos, then insist on only using a professional artist who utilizes sterilized needles.
12. Stop drinking and taking recreational drugs

If you drink alcohol or take recreational drugs, then you are putting yourself in a position to make bad decisions. To reduce your chances of getting HIV, you should stop drinking and get clean.

13. Get Involved In Exercise

One of the ways to improve your health and enhance your ability to remain abstinent is to get involved in a good exercise and diet program. When you improve your health habits, you are going to increase your body’s ability to resist HIV and other dangerous diseases. While exercise and a good diet are not foolproof ways to prevent HIV, they definitely offer a good way to spend your time while avoiding the temptation to become s’exually active with too many partners.

14. Get educated

Take the time to understand how HIV is really transmitted to avoid becoming an HIV victim.

While condoms offer some protection from HIV, using a condom is not necessarily a sure way to prevent infection. Stay safe: abstain, be faithful, use condoms!

THINGS YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT "KPOMO"

Cow skin in local parlance in Nigeria is called “pomo” (sometimes spelt as Ponmo). I prefer to choose the latter. In Nigeria and many other developing countries where skin of cow and other animals like sheep and goat are separated and sold separately, it is mainly due to poverty. The cost of beef has led to more people opting for cow skin, which is a lot cheaper. Please be informed that the cow skin is subjected to some form of treatment by the processors before it is being sold as Ponmo. That is not the subject of this discussion.
Before I talk about the nutritional value of ponmo (cow skin), I want to just share this with you on a lighter mood; a news article published by the BBC about cow skin and Nigeria sometimes in the year was titled
“Nigeria eats its shoe leather” . Yes, we eat so much of ponmo that we have no cow skin left for the leather industry. In the article, Dr Samuel Achi, the provost of Federal College of Chemical and Leather Technology, Zaria, noted that “pomo eaters, have decided to walk on bare feet because they have decided to eat their own shoes in their pots”.
So, Is Cow Skin (Ponmo) Nutritious?
In most developed countries of the world, cow skin is generally not used as food. Hence, there are little or no research works on the nutritional value of cow skin. A large proportion of the cow skins are being shipped to the leather industry where they are converted to shoes, cloth and more.
RECOMMENDED: Every Animal Meat Is Not Beef! See All Their Names
There is limited information on the nutrients available in Ponmo. The only authoritative article you would see online is seen on PunchNG in a news article that reported events at the third joint anniversary of the Animal Science Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Institute of Animal Science, held at the University of Ibadan in 2014.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, also spoke at the event entitled, “Value addition in the Nigerian livestock industry: A strategy for economic growth and stakeholders’ empowerment.”
The article on PunchNG and other sources reported the nutritional benefits of ponmo as follows;
The nutritional analysis of a 40 gram piece of ponmo is:
Calories (150g); Total fat (4g); Saturated fat (1g); Poly saturated fat (0g); Mono saturated fat (0g); Trans fat (0g); Cholesterol (0g); Sodium (0mg); Potassium (0mg); Total carbohydrate (0g);
Dietary fibre (0g); Sugars (0 per cent); Proteins (0 per cent); Vitamin A (0 per cent); Vitamin C (0 per cent); Calcium (0 per cent); Iron (0 per cent).
From this analysis, you will see that ponmo is lacking in all essential nutrients. However, I have seen adverts by some food processors/manufacturers in China who claim to make nutritional kpomo or ponmo. They claim to have fortified the cow skin with essential nutrients. I have nothing to back up their claims.
It has also been pointed out by some people that it may just contain some protein. Yes, collagen is a protein in skin, muscle and meat of animals but for those of us that know, there is something called Protein Quality. Collagen is not a complete protein because it is lacking in the amino acid tryptophan.
Although Collagen has a lot of applications in medicine and food industry (e.g. making gelatin), from a nutritional point of view, collagen and gelatin are poor-quality sole source of protein since they do not contain all the essential amino acids in the proportions that the human body requires—they are not ‘complete proteins’.

Female Masturbation: 5things you may not know. #3 will shock you

Men may talk about it more often, but women do it, too.
More than half of American women 18-49 masturbate at least once every 3 months, according to a study from The Kinsey Institute, and that’s true for single women and those who are coupled up. Self-pleasure doesn’t have the stigma it once did, says Nicole Prause, PhD, but myths still affect the way that some women feel about it -- and how they do (or don’t) touch themselves.
Here are five things you should know about masturbation.

1.  It’s good for you.
Masturbating increases blood flow throughout your body and releases feel-good brain chemicals called endorphins. “That may explain why there’s a clear mood benefit, even if you don’t orgasm,” says Prause, a sexuality researcher at UCLA. And while men are more likely to talk about blowing off steam by masturbating, research suggests it’s a stress-reliever for both sexes. “It takes your mind [off your worries] while activating areas of the brain associated with pleasure,” Prause says.

2. It improves your sex life.
Masturbation can make you sexually comfortable and confident. “It puts you in touch with your desires and gives you the chance to get to know your own body,” says sexuality educator Yvonne K. Fulbright, PhD. “Experimenting with what feels good and makes you respond positively can lead to better sexual experiences, both alone and with a partner.”
If you have trouble reaching orgasm, it’s a private, stress-free way to try different types of touch and pressure to see what helps you climax, Fulbright says.
3. It can ease postmenopause sex problems.
Many women see changes during menopause. Masturbation can help, says Judi Chervenak, MD, a gynecologist at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
“The vagina can actually narrow, which can make intercourse and vaginal exams more painful.” But masturbation, especially with a water-based lubricant, can help prevent narrowing, boost blood flow, relieve some tissue and moisture problems, and increase sexual desire, Chervenak says.

4.  It doesn’t have to be quick (or end with an orgasm).
The media may suggest otherwise, but masturbation isn’t just a “quickie” experience. That’s OK. “Rushing can make it less enjoyable, and so can focusing too much on orgasm,” Fulbright says. “Give yourself time to touch all parts of your body or try different positions, and don’t feel pressure to climax.”

5. Toys can help.
Nearly half of women between the ages of 18 and 60 have used a sex toy like a dildo or vibrator, according to a survey by Ashley Leonard at Robert Morris University. If you’ve had trouble reaching orgasm and want to climax, a vibrator (which stimulates the nerve endings in the clitoris) may be helpful.
Don’t worry whether it will lead to sex problems later down the line, Prause says. “Put simply, if it feels good, go for it.”
