Atiku Abubakar, former vice president, has disclosed why he is not having a ministerial nominee in President Muhammadu Buhari’s list.
Atiku stated that Nigerian leader has made right choices with the ministers, showing optimism that they will put the country above any parochial interest.
APC chieftain spoke through the chairman, Atiku Loyalists Group, Alhaji Muhammadu Sugar.
Sugar said that former VP was not happy with the list of ministers, noted that he was happy with the list.
He further added that the calibre of people who made the list have given Atiku hope that the country was on the right path.
Also debunking media reports that Atiku was among the big losers on the Buhari’s cabinet, for not having a minister, Alhaji Sugar underlined that in the first place, ex-vice never looked for any of his loyalists to be on the list.
Sugar said that the minister-appointee from his Adamawa home town, Musa Muhammad, is just like a son to Atiku.
Meanwhile, he noted that presently, Nigeria needed the joint contributions of the teeming masses of the country, if the real change Nigerians were yearning for would be possible.
The populace must be ready to rally round President Buhari to effect the change, Sugar concluded.
The Nigerian senate has resumed the screening or Buhari’s ministerial nominees today, October 27.
Screening of the nominees comes in this order: Isaac Folorunso, Bawa Bwari, Geoffrey Onyeama, Zainab Ahmed, Dan Ali, Usani Uguru.
Reports appeared last week that some leaders of the APC are flirting with the idea of floating a party to register their anger to the party management in preparation ahead of 2019 presidential election.
